Orman Neville was pastor of the Branham Tabernacle from 1953 until he was replaced by Billy Paul Branham as pastor in December 1966. Bro. William Branham first appointed Bro. Graham Snellings as pastor of the church to launch his healing campaigns. After Snellings, Neville took the role. Bro. Neville was a close freind and confidant of Bro. Branham. Bro. Neville was among the ministers selected to speak and Bro. Branham’s funeral. Following Bro. Branham’s death, Neville gradually lost control of the Tabernacle to the deacon board who began to control who could preach and favored listening to taped sermons of Bro. Branham over a live ministry. Many say Bro. Neville died of a broken heart over the idolatry that Branham Tabernacle had fallen into. Bro. Neville started his own church, the Neville Tabernacle, which he pastored until his death in 1974.
